Standing Ovation
Everyone can be a hero; we must all do our part

The US had Captain America, Russia had Colossus, England had Captain Britain, Japan had Takezo Kensei. Now introducing, the All-Canadian Hero: Captain Epic. With the powers of Superman and the personality of Fraser Crane, Epic is the perfect candidate to lead his team of heroes. Little Epic, with the speed of The Flash and the wit and charm” of Bart Simpson; Master Brood with the drama of “The OC” and the qualities of Wolverine; Omniscient, the blue-skinned entity from another world; Valerie, the no-bullshit woman who can transform at will into a Valkyrie Warrior; and Kimberly, she does not possess any super-human powers but has a heart of gold and the motherly qualities that a busy team of superheroes needs. This is Team Epic.

Team Epic

Team Epic is a new web-based television show produced by Poetic License Productions, Ltd. The show is set entirely in Toronto and the surrounding area, giving a truly Canadian spin to the popular superhero genre. This fast-paced action-comedy follows the lives of these superheroes as they learn to work as a team, and push their abilities to the limit.

On November 14, 2007, the premiere took place for “Team Epic Episode One: The Epic Chill”. The forty-minute episode was screened at Glenn Gould Studios in downtown Toronto and will begin airing on the Team Epic website on November 15, 2007.

The premiere was an Epic success. Cast members, friends and family came out to share their support with everyone who was involved from creator Montgomery Bjornson to director Ryan Knight to the writers and cast members. And to round out the night, “The Epic Chill” did not disappoint. The opening credits had the crowd cheering due to the truly Epic score and the hilarious Canadian undertones. The episode continued to sore as they introduced Captain Epic, Little Epic and the rest of the team; each character added another element to the story. The storyline did not get repetitive as they introduced the super-villains who could only be defeated if the team learned to work together. The Epic Chill is fun, clever, humorous and action-packed, everything you can expect from a superhero TV show.

The highly anticipated second episode is set to be released January 2008.
